2 Timothy 1:7

When I go out to eat, I generally ask my server how I can pray for them. I recently had a young man as a server who very clearly lived a different lifestyle than me. My flesh told me just to skip asking this question, as I wouldn’t want any conflict. Can I be totally honest with you? I almost listened, because deep down inside I was a little bit afraid. But then I remembered that God did not give me a spirit of fear! Fear is from the enemy and the enemy is a liar!

When I asked this young man how I could pray for him, his eyes welled up with tears. It turned out he had just gotten out of the hospital – that day was his first day back at work. He was scared about his future and desperately needed to know it was going to be ok. The Lord used me to show His love and grace to someone who was very far from Him. There was nothing special about me, I was simply obedient.

God wants to use you too. He desires your obedience so that He can reach the lost. I know it can be incredibly intimidating at times…but I promise that it will be worth it.
Step out and do something bold today!
