Holy Spirit Speaks
I have to share this incredible story of what happened to my husband this morning. God is so good.
I was told by a pastor last year that the Holy Spirit doesn’t speak to us. I can unapologetically say that there is nothing you can do to convince me that is true.
So, my husband wakes up every morning around 4:00. He drives to the gas station down the road to get coffee and then sits in his car in a parking lot somewhere listening to God’s Word and praying. This morning he parked somewhere different than normal. He noticed a man walking a bike across the parking lot and felt the Holy Spirit tell him to go offer the man a ride. My husband was obedient, and the man accepted. My husband then felt the Holy Spirit wanted him to give the man some money. My husband was obedient again. Then the Holy Spirit told my husband to ask the man if he could pray for him. The man broke down. He told my husband that he had a stroke last year and walking was hard…he couldn’t ride the bike but was using it like a cane to stop him from falling. He had been kicked out of his girlfriend’s house last night and didn’t know what to do. He walked as far as he could and then found some stairs to sit down on. They happened to be at a church. So, he sat and prayed and asked God to send him some help. He was broken and needed someone to care. Well, God did that, and more. My husband prayed with him, and the man got out of the car with hope, joy, and a renewed faith.
Friends, the Holy Spirit is speaking. He desires to use you. You just have to listen.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
