Pray With Me

Lord, today I pray for all who are reading this who feel tired, weary, or discouraged. They might feel like the only answer is giving up. Supply them now with everything they need to overcome the battles they are facing. Go before them, fight for them, and bring them victory! Help them to know they are deeply loved and cared for as they attempt to give their anxiety to you. Pour your love into their hearts through the Holy Spirit as you turn their suffering into perseverance, then character, and then your beautiful hope.

Give strength to the weary, increase the power of the weak, and renew their strength so they will not grow faint. Remind them that their present sorrows are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in them and the joy that you are bringing. Above all else, give them your wonderful peace, which surpasses our understanding, so they can overcome their troubles as we remember how you have overcome the world!

Pray to Forgive

Lord, I know how hard it is to forgive someone who hurts us. I pray today for anyone who is struggling with this task. Take away their bitterness, anger, and pain so their hearts can begin to heal and give them tender hearts, compassion, gentleness, and patience for the one who hurt them. Remind them of the grace you freely gave them and empower them to pass that same grace on to others. The weight of an unforgiving heart is heavy, but I know you can give them rest because your yoke is easy, and your burden is light. Help them set aside any selfishness or pride and transform their minds to see your perfect will. Guard their hearts and equip them with all spiritual blessings so there can be unity on earth and praise for your glorious grace. Help them to be like you, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. We thank you in advance for the work you are doing in their lives.

Can I Pray Over You?

Lord, I pray for those who are lonely. Let them know that regardless of how they feel you have never left them, and you have never forsaken them. Fill them with joy and peace so that they can overflow with hope. Bring godly people into their lives because we know that a sweet friendship refreshes the soul. Allow them to cry out to you in their loneliness and show them how you are the greatest friend of all. Wipe away their tears and heal their broken heart in the way that only you can. We love you and praise you. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

Today’s prayer came from Deuteronomy 31, Romans 15, Proverbs 27, John 15, and Revelation 21.

Feeling Discouraged? Pray this Prayer!

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for every person reading this right now who is feeling discouraged. Lord, I know you are near to them. Deliver them from their afflictions. Sustain them as they cast their burdens on you. Renew their strength so they do not become weary. Lead them, guide them, and turn their darkness into light. Help them to remember you are working all things together for their good, even when it doesn’t seem that way. Give them joy that is inexpressible and fill them with your glory. We love you and praise you!

Psalm 34:18-19 – The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Psalm 55:22 – Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Isaiah 40:31 – But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 42:16 – And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.
Romans 8:28 – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.1 Peter 1:8 – Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.

Pray God’s Word

Heavenly Father, you promise that I can have confidence in approaching you and that you hear my prayers. Well, sometimes I am just not sure what to pray. Fill me with your Spirit so that in my weakness He can intercede. Help me abide in you so I can pray in accordance with your will. Make me righteous so there is great power in my prayers and give me faith so I can receive. I want to continue steadfastly in prayer and be watchful in it with thanksgiving. Put your desires in my heart as I delight in you and show me your compassion for others so I can intercede on their behalf. Thank you that you are here with me while I pray. I love you and give you all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hebrews 4:16 Coming before the throne of grace.
Hebrews 13:15 A spiritual sacrifice & the fruit of our lips.
James 4:8 Drawing close to God in friendship, fellowship & trust.

Have you ever wondered how to pray? Well, you are not alone. Even Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray. The good news is that Jesus answered them! In the video below I share His answer with you and give some tips on praying.

That you don’t fall into temptation – Matthew 26:41
That you are worthy to escape the things to come – Luke 21:35-36
That you are worthy of your calling – 1 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Are You Afraid to Pray in Public?

Are you afraid to pray in public? Let me know your honest answer in the comments. ↓↓

I recently read that public speaking, which prayer falls under, is the #1 fear of people…it’s more feared than dying! Some of the reasons people are afraid are:

1. The fear of failure
2. The fear of actually being intimate with God
3. The fear of transparency before others
4. The fear of becoming emotional or losing control

So…if you have one of those fears, what should you do? I promise you that the answer isn’t “never pray in public”. Instead, try these things:

Pray and ask God to reveal to you the reason you are scared
Ask Him to give you confidence
Practice by praying out loud at your house or in front of your family
Write down what you want to pray about
Memorize Scripture so you can pray His Word
Grow your relationship with the Holy Spirit so He can speak through you
Keep Your prayers short
Be yourself
Remind yourself that prayers are just conversations with God
Remember that God created you to be just who you are and He desires to hear your voice in prayer
