Don’t Be Blinded

Paul was a Pharisee. He was deeply studied in Jewish law. He wanted anyone who believed in Jesus as the Messiah to be punished because it went against everything he knew. He was angry and on a mission to uphold “the truth” which included him hating, accusing, & persecuting anyone who believed differently.
One day when he was on his way to arrest some followers of Christ, he actually met Jesus face to face. He had an encounter so radical it left him blind for 3 days. He discovered that his pride and legalistic views had been what truly blinded him.

Don’t be blinded by what you were taught, by what your ‘religion’ tells you, or by what your friends say.
My prayer for you today is that you have an encounter with Jesus that is so radical your eyes are opened to the whole truth.

“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” – 2 Corinthians 4:4
