Today is Thursday. Some call it Maundy Thursday. Maundy comes from a Latin word which means “command” and it is called this because of the command Jesus gave His disciples to love one another. Many things happen on this day, but the major events were the Last Supper, Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, and Him being arrested by Roman soldiers.
This was an extremely important day of Holy Week as Jesus prepared to willingly give up His life for us. I urge you to read about it. My favorite passages are in John 13-18.
