The Tuesday before His crucifixion was a very busy day for Jesus. He went to Jerusalem where He was challenged multiple times. The Pharisees, Herodians, and Sadducees, who were normally enemies, took turns questioning Him and then even teamed up. Their hatred united them and when their tricks failed, they became violent.
During this day Jesus tells 7 great parables, gives the Olivet discourse, and predicts His death. He warns about the danger of rejecting Him, talks about the importance of being ready for His return, gives instruction on how to act while He is gone, and describes the coming judgement of those who will appear before God’s throne.
I encourage you to read about His Words and actions on this day of Holy Week. You can do so by reading Matthew 21-25.
