My Purpose
Welcome! My name is Katie Hauck. I am originally from Illinois but have lived in Tennessee for about 5 years now with my husband and our kids. When people see us, the first question they ask is “How many children do you have?” That is a tough question to answer. Let me explain…
My husband adopted his first wife’s son and then had 2 together. I had 2 with my first husband. Both of us sadly went through divorces. We met the following year, fell madly in love, and were married shortly after. We then had twins and adopted 2 from Poland. We added children-in-law, grandchildren, and picked up a few along the way that are not legally ours but we claim. Plus we are currently in the process of adopting 3 more who will hopefully come home later this year.
See what I mean? I used to be a little embarrassed to tell people all of this. I felt shame about my past. You see, when I was young I pictured marrying my high school sweetheart, having 3 perfect kids, living in an adorable little house with a white picket fence, and staying happily married until we both died together in our sleep. That is not the path my life took. What the Lord showed me through this journey is that He is good. He can take our pain & suffering and turn it into blessings. He can restore and redeem our lives. He loves to turn ashes to beauty.
About 4 years ago He called me into a deeper relationship with Him and, as I grew and learned, He told me to share with others what He was teaching me.
The Lord has given me a great love for His children. He wants you to know how special you are and that He has a great plan for your life. He led me to Matthew 5:14-16 as the theme for my ministry. My desire is to walk with you on your journey of figuring out how to be bold, do good, and glorify God by letting your light shine in this dark world.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“
- I want you to know the immense love God has for you. Regardless of your past or what you might have done, God loves you. Period.
- I want you to be so filled with the love of God that it flows out of you onto everyone you meet. I want you to spread kindness, compassion, forgiveness, and honor.
- I want you to read your Bible. Hebrews 4:12 tells us the Word of God is living and active. This is a phenomenon known as “inspiration”. That word in Latin means to physically breathe into. When God breathed into Adam, he came to life. When you read scripture, God is literally breathing into you and your Spirit begins coming to life! You learn things you never knew, and God speaks to you in unimaginable ways. My desire is to show you how interesting the Bible is, so you develop a passion for studying it and grow deeper in your relationship with Him.
God is massive and He loves you so much. I pray for His Word to COME ALIVE inside of you because that is what matters most.
Prayer of Salvation
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, it’s easy. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9). Please consider saying these simple words out loud: Heavenly Father, I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus rose from the dead so that I can be saved. I ask You to come into my life and forgive me of my sin. I want to live to bring glory and honor to you. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
My Beliefs:
I believe that the Bible was written and inspired by God. I believe that God is One, yet manifested in three Persons – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, where he sits at the right hand of God. I believe in Heaven and Hell and that salvation is a gift from God to all men through faith in Jesus Christ.
