Praying for Peace

Would you pray for peace with me?

Yesterday I watched as my dear friends told their little girl that her brother would not be coming home. My heart is shattered, but I just keep thinking about the incredible faith they showed during that moment. They had a strength that only Jesus could have provided and a peace that could have only come from God. I don’t know how anyone gets through something like this without Christ.

I am so honored and blessed to know these godly people, to call them friends, and to look to them as mentors. Would you please help me pray for them as they process through this tragedy?

One truth that we can hold on to is in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Pray today for the peace of God to give this family a peace that passes all understanding, and know that if you are facing a trial, this peace is also available for you. The Lord is peace.
