Proof of the Resurrection (pt 3)
There is significant evidence that Jesus Christ lived, died, and was resurrected. Read Parts 1 and 2 for more information.
VI Why is this Important to Believers?
Our Heavenly Father calls us to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Jesus commands us in Mark 16:15 to, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation”. How can Christians tell others about Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our salvation, if they do not know or understand what happened? Studying Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is imperative to having the spiritual knowledge necessary to boldly share this great news. Atheists, agnostics, and skeptics will be prepared with hard to answer questions that Christians should be prepared to answer with hard to refute truth. Peter warns us in 1 Peter 3:15 that we should, “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have”. People who do not know Jesus Christ and have not accepted the free gift of salvation are on a pathway to eternal damnation. This should deeply concern Christians. The answer to saving the lives of the lost is so simple that it is incomprehensible that Christians are not doing everything in their power to do so.

VII Conclusion
Dr. Harold Willmington tells us that the Christian faith has absolute uniqueness and utter superiority due to the fact that, unlike founders of other religions who eventually died, the founder of Christianity died but is still alive and active today.1 The proof that Jesus Christ lived, died, and was resurrected is overwhelming. Hopefully overwhelming enough that if anyone reading this paper does not know Jesus Christ, they take a look at the evidence, see the amazing love He must have had for mankind to go through all of this, and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. After all, nothing else really matters.
