You can love Jesus deeply and still feel stuck, and that experience is far more common than most people admit. Many believers discover that faith did not change everything the way they expected it to. You believed, you surrendered, and you asked God to work in your life, yet certain struggles, thought patterns, or emotional reactions never fully loosened their grip.

If that describes your experience, it does not mean your faith is weak or insincere. In most cases, it means no one ever explained what comes after salvation.

Being saved is real and powerful, but transformation is a process. Most of us were taught how to believe, but not how to walk out freedom in everyday life.

Why So Many Believers Feel Stuck After Salvation

For many Christians, the moment of salvation is clear and meaningful, but what follows is confusing. You may know what Scripture says and still feel trapped in familiar patterns. You may genuinely trust God and still find yourself reacting the same way you always have. Maybe you love Him deeply while quietly wondering why faith has not changed how you think, feel, or respond.

That disconnect creates frustration and shame, especially when you assume faith should have fixed this by now. However, that tension does not mean something is wrong with you. More often, it means certain beliefs have gone unexamined.

Scripture tells us that truth brings freedom, but freedom comes when truth replaces the lies we have unknowingly lived under for years.

Why Trying Harder Rarely Leads to Freedom

When freedom feels out of reach, most believers respond by increasing effort. They pray more, read more, serve more, and push themselves harder, hoping obedience will eventually override whatever feels broken inside.

But effort alone was never meant to produce freedom.

Jesus did not come to modify behavior. He came to transform the heart and renew the mind. When false beliefs go unchallenged, they quietly shape how we live, even when our intentions are sincere and our faith is genuine.

These lies often sound reasonable. They suggest that you should be further along, that God must be disappointed, or that this struggle defines who you are. Over time, those beliefs influence daily decisions, emotional responses, and spiritual confidence far more than truth ever has the opportunity to.

Why Freedom Is a Process and Not a Moment

Freedom takes time because healing goes deep. God does not rush us through transformation; He walks with us through it. Learning to live free requires unlearning what was never true in the first place.

Many believers were never discipled in how to renew their minds, confront false beliefs, or apply Scripture to real-life struggles. Without that guidance, faith can feel exhausting instead of life-giving, and obedience can feel heavy instead of hopeful.

Feeling stuck is not a sign of failure. Often, it is a sign that you are ready to understand something new and take a different step forward.

A Clear and Gentle Place to Begin

If you are starting to recognize that certain beliefs may be holding you back, there is no need to overhaul your life or commit to something overwhelming. Growth often begins with clarity and a manageable first step.

That is why I created Fight Back: 7 Lies That Keep You From Freedom, a short seven-day Bible plan designed to help you identify common lies that quietly limit spiritual growth and replace them with truth from Scripture. This plan is meant to feel calm, honest, and accessible, not heavy or condemning.

If you feel saved but still stuck, this is where I would walk with you first.

You can find the plan here: Fight Back: 7 Lies That Keep You From Freedom

If This Feels Close to Home

You are not behind in your faith, and you are not broken. Freedom is not about having everything figured out or doing everything right. It begins with honesty, understanding, and a willingness to let truth reshape what has been quietly shaping you.

One step is enough to start moving, and God is patient in the process. Salvation was just the start of His beautiful plan for your life.

You Are Not Too Far Gone. Jesus is Ready.

Maybe you’ve heard about Jesus your whole life. On the other hand, maybe this is the first time you’re wondering what it means to truly be saved. Either way, I believe you’re here for a reason.

God loves you. Yes, you. Right where you are. He hasn’t given up on you no matter what you’ve done or how broken your story feels. He’s been pursuing your heart from the very beginning.

The Bible says:

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
— Romans 10:9

This isn’t about religion. It’s not about having all the answers or fixing yourself first. It’s about relationship. It’s about knowing Jesus personally, and trusting Him to do what only He can: rescue, forgive, and restore.

What Does Salvation Mean?

Salvation rescues you from the power of sin and death. It means forgiveness. You are made new, and brought into a right relationship with God. It’s not something you can earn — it’s a gift. A gift Jesus made possible when He died on the cross and rose again, conquering death and offering eternal life to all who believe.

A Simple Prayer to Begin

You don’t need fancy words. Just a surrendered heart. If you’re ready to take that step, you can pray something like this:

Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I know I can’t fix my life on my own. I’m asking You to forgive me, change me, and lead me. I give You my life today. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

If you just prayed that — welcome to the family. Heaven is celebrating with you (Luke 15:7), and we are too.

What Now?

Tell Someone — Don’t keep it quiet. Let someone know you’ve made this decision. We’d love to hear from you here.

Get a Bible — Start reading God’s Word. If you don’t have a Bible, you can read on the YouVersion Bible app. We have multiple Bible reading plans available for FREE here.

Talk to God — Prayer is simply talking to your Father. You don’t have to know all the right words.

Find Community — Connect with a Bible-believing church or local ministry. You weren’t meant to walk this road alone.

Stories of Salvation

You’re not alone in your journey. Read powerful real-life stories of redemption from those who have walked from darkness into light in our You Are Loved Series of videos and testimonies.

Still Have Questions?

We’re here for you. Whether you’re unsure, curious, or just want someone to talk to, reach out here. No pressure. Just a safe place to ask questions.

You are loved. You are seen. And you are never too far gone for Jesus.

If you’ve been in Christians circles much, you’ve probably heard the term “new Creation in Christ.” Christians say it often, but don’t always stop and think about what it really means.

The term “new creation” is said plainly in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” This verse isn’t poetic symbolism. It’s a promise—a declaration of transformation that has been proven time and again in the lives of people who’ve met Jesus in their darkest places.

True Story Examples!

Lacy’s story is one of those. Trapped in addiction and facing the devastating possibility of losing her unborn daughter, she cried out to God. Doctors said her baby wouldn’t survive, but Lacy clung to prayer. Days later, her body was healed, her daughter was saved, and her faith was ignited. Today, she leads others toward the same hope she found.

Carlos was facing 11 years in prison. Guilt and shame crushed him—until a court-appointed attorney looked him in the eyes and told him he had a call on his life. Carlos surrendered everything to God in a jail cell. Sixty days later, he walked out—not just a free man, but a new creation. Today, he serves full-time in ministry, preaching the gospel that saved him.

Tracy, once lost in 42 years of addiction, now holds her daughter and granddaughter in her arms again. Her family was restored because she encountered a Savior who never gave up on her.

These are just a few examples of how real people were made into a new creation through Christ. In my book From These Broken Pieces, I go deeper into these stories and many more!

Friend, the old can be gone. The new can come. Jesus is still in the business of rewriting stories.

Have you ever wanted to share your faith but felt overwhelmed? Sharing the gospel doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, it’s as simple as A, B, C:

A: Accept that you are a sinner.
We’re all born into sin and separated from God. No one can escape that on their own. Romans 3:23 reminds us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That’s why we need a Savior.

B: Believe in Jesus Christ.
Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world—He came to save it (John 3:17). He died for your sin, took your place, and made a way for you to be made right with God. When you believe in Him, you receive the gift of eternal life.

C: Confess with your mouth.
Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation comes through faith—and faith speaks.

Dig Deeper With Romans 10

Want to go deeper? Read Romans 10 and let God’s Word guide you. You can also explore stories of transformation like Lacy’s miracle or Carlos’ redemption to see what happens when people say yes to Jesus.

The gospel is simple. And someone needs to hear it—from you.

Would you give me 30 seconds to help you decide your eternity?

Are you confident that if you died today, you would go to heaven? Take a moment to pause and think about that question. There can be no doubt—none. If you’re unsure where you’ll go when you die, I want to help you find confidence in that knowledge because this decision will transform your life now and set the course for your eternity. Friend, this is the most important decision you’ll ever make because eternity is forever. Please stay with me for the next few minutes and learn how to guarantee your place in heaven.

Jesus Christ Loves You

Here’s what I need you to know:
Jesus Christ loves you—yes, you—right where you are.
He loves you despite your mistakes, your sin, and anything that might make you feel ashamed.

Guess what? Everyone sins.
I sin, I fall short, and I make mistakes. But the difference is that when I sin, the blood of Jesus covers me.
Because of Him, I am redeemed. I am safe from condemnation. I will not taste the fires of Hell.

This isn’t because of anything I did or could ever do—it’s all because of Jesus Christ.

The Truth About Heaven

Getting into heaven isn’t about being a good person or doing good deeds.
All other religions require you to do something to earn salvation, but Christianity is different.
Jesus did all the work.

He lived a sinless life but died a sinner’s death, taking the penalty for our sins. Why?
Because He loves you.

When Jesus rose three days later, He conquered sin and death forever.
He proved He is the Son of God and ascended into heaven with a promise:
Anyone who accepts Him as Savior and believes in their heart will not only be saved from Hell but will also be adopted into the Kingdom of God.

What Does This Mean for You?

When God adopts you into His family:

You are no longer an orphan.

You are no longer powerless.

You belong.

There’s no more shame, guilt, or emptiness.
You are made clean, safe, and whole.

It’s that simple—no rituals, no complicated steps.

Declare that Jesus is Lord.

Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

Congratulations! Welcome to God’s Family

If you prayed that prayer, type “I am saved” in the comments, and let us celebrate this bold declaration together.

Steps to Be Sure of Your Salvation:

Believe in Jesus Christ – Accept that Jesus died for your sins and trust Him as your Savior (Romans 10:9).

Repent and Turn to God – A genuine relationship with Christ involves turning away from sin and following Him (Acts 3:19).

Grow in Your Faith – Read the Bible daily, pray, and seek God’s guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Find a Local Church – Surround yourself with a Christ-centered community to grow in faith. If you’re in the Maryville, TN area, consider visiting Rio Revolution Church or connecting with True Purpose Ministries for discipleship and support.

Share Your Faith – Tell others about Jesus and His love for them (Matthew 28:19-20).

Your identity in Christ is the foundation of your new life. You are counted among the Kingdom of God, and blessings like healing, forgiveness, and freedom are now yours.

Salvation is not about what we have done but about what Christ has done for us. If you struggle with understanding forgiveness, read this powerful testimony of a woman who found peace after an unimaginable loss.

God bless you on this amazing journey. Let’s grow closer to Him together!
