The Day of Judgement

The word “judgment” is translated from the Greek word “bema”. The bema seat was a familiar term when this was written. In large Olympic arenas, the judge would sit on the bema seat while competitions were being held. When the contest was over, the successful contestants would come before the judge to be given their prize. The bema seat was not a place of condemnation – it was a place of reward! The judgment for believers is not scary, it is the most exciting, wonderful, incredible event!
