Traveling to Bethlehem

Mary and Joseph traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the required census. This would normally have been a 4-day (70 mile) trip. Due to the fact that Mary was pregnant and would have moved slower than normal along with the notion that they might have decided to go around the hostile city of Samaria it most likely took them as long as 10 days.
