For more than two decades, Jason’s life was trapped in addiction, broken relationships, and repeated jail time. He tried to change, but nothing lasted. It wasn’t until he found himself behind prison walls that everything shifted—because that’s where Jesus saved his life.

Jason was raised in a Christian home with a faithful mom who never stopped praying. After the tragic death of his father, he began to drift. By 18, drinking led to drug use, and eventually to dealing. Over the years, the spiral deepened—cocaine, pills, meth, homelessness, and countless arrests.

But in a prison cell, something broke. A chaplain handed Jason a Bible, and in the middle of the chaos, he found peace. He started attending chapel services, reading the Word, and feeling a tug on his heart. One morning, after a restless night, Jason dropped to his knees and surrendered his life to Jesus.

That moment changed everything.

Today, Jason is walking in freedom. He serves at Men of Valor, mentoring other men coming out of incarceration. His story is one of radical redemption—a testimony of how God can take what the enemy meant for destruction and turn it into purpose.

If you’ve ever felt too far gone, let Jason’s life remind you: Jesus still saves. He still redeems.

Want more stories like Jason’s? Read You Are Loved or explore From These Broken Pieces to see what God can do with a surrendered life.

You are never too far gone for grace. Your story is not over.

From the grave to new life — Jamie’s story is a testimony of redemption only Jesus can write.

After 12 years lost in addiction, homelessness, and brokenness, Jamie shares how Jesus became the doorway from death to life. What began with anger toward God ended in an encounter with Christ on a church porch, two bottles of water, and a moment that changed everything.

This conversation is raw, honest, and full of hope—for anyone struggling with addiction, for families praying for a loved one, and for those who wonder if it’s ever too late. It’s not about religion. It’s about Jesus meeting people exactly where they are and restoring what seemed beyond repair.

If you or someone you love is in the fight, don’t stop praying. God hears. God moves. And resurrection is real.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

If this story encouraged you, please like, share, and subscribe so more people can hear what God is doing.

For most of his life, Tommy believed the solution to every problem was to run. His family moved often, and avoiding pain became a learned behavior. Instead of dealing with wounds, he covered them up and kept going. That pattern eventually pulled him into more than three decades of addiction, homelessness, jail time, and broken relationships. He convinced himself he loved his children, yet the addiction always came first because deep down he didn’t believe he was worth true love or healing. He saw darkness up close — hunger, violence, overdoses — and lived with shame that convinced him change wasn’t possible.

Everything began to shift in a jail cell when he learned his father had died a year earlier, and he never even knew. On the 18th of the month, he remembered that his dad always read Proverbs 18. When he opened it, he sensed God speaking directly to him, asking, “Haven’t you had enough?” Tommy was angry and full of excuses, but God wasn’t offering condemnation. He was offering rescue.

God opened a door to True Purpose Ministries, where men who had walked similar roads challenged him to drop the masks and stop pretending. As he finally surrendered instead of running, his life began to change. His kids came back. He found opportunity, stability, and purpose. He faced serious court charges by trusting God instead of bargaining with Him, and walked away with freedom that made no earthly sense. He could see that God had been working even when he couldn’t recognize it.

But pride returned and one compromise led to a relapse. Within days, everything he idolized — transportation, comfort, relationships, job, access to his kids — disappeared. Broken again, Tommy reached out to Fountain of Hope Ministries, where he fully surrendered and allowed God to rebuild his life the right way. He faced new charges, turned himself in, and once again watched God step in with mercy he never could have earned.

Now Tommy sees love differently than he used to. Love isn’t about convenience, gifts, or covering up wrongdoing. Love is service, accountability, humility, and sacrifice. It looks like helping someone carry their burden, even when you’re tired too. It looks like correction that protects instead of condemns. It looks like putting others first because that’s what Jesus did for us.

Tommy’s testimony isn’t a highlight reel of mistakes; it’s a declaration that God can redeem any story. If you’re searching for peace, love, or hope, the answer isn’t to run — it’s to seek Jesus. There is no life so broken that He cannot restore it, and no heart so damaged that He cannot fill it. Tommy stands today as a reminder that it is never too late. God is patient. His love is real. And He is still in the business of saving lives.

Daniel’s story began with hardship. He entered state custody at just nine years old, bounced through group homes, and by twelve he was surviving on the streets. Addiction and crime became a way of life, eventually leading to a maximum-security sentence behind prison walls.

Even behind bars, drugs continued to control him. He wanted to change, but it felt impossible. He had called on God before, but his heart never truly shifted — until March 26, 2023.

In the quiet of a prison cell, at one of the lowest moments of his life, Daniel cried out to Jesus again. This time, something was different. He experienced the presence of God in a personal way that changed everything. The addiction that once controlled him lost its grip. His mindset and priorities began to shift immediately. It was the moment his life truly turned around.

Today, Daniel is home and rebuilding his life with purpose. He is working to restore the same community he once damaged, encouraging others who are stuck in addiction or fear. His story is living proof that God can redeem every chapter of a person’s life.

One verse has become an anchor for him:

“Everything that has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.”
— Philippians 1:12

Daniel’s past didn’t disqualify him — God used it to prepare him. His life is a reminder that hope is still available, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done.

If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by your circumstances, know this: you are not too far gone. God sees you, loves you, and can bring freedom even in the darkest places.

At 26 years old, Jimmy’s life took a devastating turn. After losing his father, he fell into the grip of meth addiction, a spiral that would strip away everything he loved—his children, his job, and his sense of worth. The pain of loss mixed with self-doubt, and the lie that he wasn’t “good enough” became the chain that bound him.

Hitting Rock Bottom

Jimmy reached a point of complete despair. Alone on a creek bank, carrying nothing but drugs in his pocket, he thought his story was over. His body was broken, his heart was empty, and his hope was gone.

But what looked like the end was actually the beginning of grace.

A Life-Changing Encounter

In that quiet, desperate moment, Jimmy had his first real encounter with Jesus Christ. It wasn’t in a church pew or surrounded by people—it was just him and God. And that’s all it took.

Jesus met Jimmy right where he was—dirty, defeated, and hopeless—and offered him something he hadn’t felt in years: love and freedom.

That encounter changed everything. From that day forward, Jimmy began walking a new path—one marked by healing, recovery, and redemption.

Lessons from Jimmy’s Story

Jimmy’s journey reminds us of three timeless truths:

God meets us at our lowest point. No matter how far we’ve fallen, His love reaches deeper still.

Freedom is possible. Addiction doesn’t define us—Christ does.

Your identity is found in Jesus. Not in your past, not in your mistakes, but in who He says you are: forgiven, chosen, and loved.

Recovery is a daily decision. Every day, Jimmy chooses faith over fear and freedom over destruction.

There Is Hope for You Too

If you’re reading this and you feel trapped—by addiction, shame, or regret—please know this: you are not alone. The same God who rescued Jimmy can rescue you.

No pit is too deep, no past too broken, and no heart too far gone for God to redeem.

Need help? Reach out to a local recovery program, Celebrate Recovery group, or church in your area. Freedom starts with one step—and that step could be today.

In this powerful episode of You Are Loved, Mandi shares her courageous journey from addiction and despair to lasting freedom in Christ. Her story is one of defeating shame—rising from the weight of guilt, trauma, and hopelessness to discover her true identity in Jesus. After years of battling mental-health struggles, self-harm, and meth addiction, she found herself homeless, abused, and separated from her children—convinced she was beyond redemption. But everything changed when she encountered the unconditional love of Jesus through True Purpose Ministries and Celebrate Recovery. What once seemed like the end of her story became the beginning of her transformation.

“Two years ago, I was cussing God out and planning my next suicide attempt. Today, I’m clean, alive, and filled with hope.”

Mandi’s testimony is not just a story of survival—it’s a story of defeating shame through grace. She tells how Jesus became her Lord, Savior, and best friend, restored her relationship with her family, and gave her a life she never imagined possible.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Where is God in my pain?” or doubted that you could be forgiven, Mandi’s story will remind you that no one is too far gone for the love of Jesus.

What does the path from rebellion to redemption really look like? Sometimes it begins with the people who were supposed to love you leaving you confused and wounded. Sometimes it starts in a church that felt more like a performance than a place of healing. And when trust has been broken and your heart has grown hard, how do you begin again?

These are the real questions REDEEMED had to face. And maybe… you’ve faced them too.

In this powerful testimony, REDEEMED shares how his story began in the pews of a Pentecostal church and unfolded through a journey marked by family trauma, manipulation, rebellion, and eventually—restoration.

He opens up about what it was like growing up in a strict church environment, how his family’s move to Tennessee altered his foundation, and the deep impact his parents’ divorce had on his understanding of love. For years, he wrestled with bitterness and control, learning to manipulate situations just to protect himself from pain. But underneath all of it was a longing for something real—something true.

And that’s where God met him.

His story isn’t polished. It’s not tied up in a neat little bow. But it’s real. And it’s powerful.

If you’ve ever questioned your faith, struggled with family dynamics, or battled a hardened heart, this story will remind you: God doesn’t abandon us in the middle of our mess. He walks into it. He speaks into it. And He invites us to trust Him again—even when trust feels impossible.

You are not too far gone.
Your story isn’t over.

REDEEMED’s journey is living proof that no part of your past disqualifies you from the love of Jesus. In fact, it’s often the very thing He uses to bring you closer.

If you’ve ever struggled with overcoming childhood abandonment, you’re not alone. Maybe someone walked out on you—physically or emotionally—and left you wondering if you’d ever be whole again. That kind of wound runs deep. Tyler knows exactly how that feels.

Growing up in a small Tennessee town, Tyler and his brothers faced abuse, poverty, and the heartbreak of losing their dad. By the time he was ten, addiction had already crept in, filling the empty space where love and connection should’ve been.

When abandonment shapes your early years, it can be hard to trust people—and even harder to trust God. Tyler had never opened a Bible until he found himself at True Purpose Ministries, desperate for something to change. What he found was more than help. He found healing.

Tyler shares how trauma from his childhood fueled his addiction, how his father’s absence left a painful void, and how he finally moved from rock bottom to restoration. But it was faith—real, raw, everyday faith—that became the turning point. That’s when things truly started to shift.

If you’re wrestling with abandonment, addiction, or just the weight of your past, there is hope. God is still in the business of healing broken hearts. Tyler’s story didn’t end in pain, and yours doesn’t have to either.

You are not too far gone. You are not alone. And you are loved.

If Tyler’s story speaks to you, share your own in the comments. We’re listening.

There’s something powerful about hearing a story that reminds you no one is too far gone for God. Jeremy’s journey from dealer to disciple is one of those stories.

He was only 15 when he first got caught up in the world of drugs. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a lifestyle—one marked by dealing, addiction, and eventually imprisonment. Growing up without healthy father figures left a gap that the streets tried to fill. Then came the devastating news: his own father was murdered in a drug-related incident.

Pain piled on top of pain. For Jeremy, the darkness seemed endless.

But God saw him.

Even behind bars, God was moving. Jeremy began to wrestle with questions about his purpose, identity, and worth. What began as survival slowly shifted into surrender. Through the support of believers who didn’t give up on him and the relentless love of a Savior who never left him, Jeremy’s heart began to change.

He found forgiveness, not just from God, but for himself and others. He found healing. And most importantly, he discovered that God wasn’t finished with him.

Today, Jeremy is walking in freedom—not just from addiction, but with a renewed purpose. He shares his story to point others toward the same redemption he received. His testimony reminds us: the same God who parted seas and rescued nations is still in the business of transforming lives today.

Addiction doesn’t knock on the door with warning signs. It barges in—sometimes subtly, other times violently—until one day you realize it’s taken more from you than you ever intended to give. That was the reality for many of us who found ourselves lost in alcohol abuse. But here’s the truth that changed everything: You are not beyond redemption.

I used to believe I’d be a drunk for the rest of my life. I told myself that every day. “This is just who I am.” Those lies kept me chained because when you repeat a narrative long enough, it becomes your identity. But the turning point came when I stopped letting the addiction name me—and started letting God remind me who I really was.

I am a child of God.
I am chosen.
I am loved.
I am not here by accident.

Overcoming alcohol abuse wasn’t a single moment of inspiration—it was a series of daily choices, hard truths, and messy grace. It meant surrendering control, getting vulnerable, and letting people in. It meant admitting that I couldn’t fix myself and that I didn’t have to—because Jesus already made a way.

And for those wondering where God was in their darkest moments: He was there. Even when it felt like He was silent. Looking back, I see the moments that could have ended my life, the days I barely made it through. And now I know—it was His hand that kept me. His mercy that spared me. His love that refused to let go.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve gone too far, or it’s been too long, or you’ve messed up too much to change—hear this:

It’s not too late.
You’re not too far.
And you are still His.

You don’t have to carry shame anymore. You don’t have to live in that identity. Whether it’s been one year or forty, Jesus is still in the business of healing, restoring, and rewriting stories. My life is proof of that.

So if you’re struggling with alcohol abuse, don’t give up. Get help. Speak the truth. And most of all, believe that real freedom is possible.

You don’t have to just “manage” your addiction. You can overcome it—for GOOD.
