Have I Battled Addiction Too Long to Ever Be Free?

Maybe you’ve asked the question, “Have I battled addiction too long to ever be free?” I want to tell you today that no matter how long your battle has lasted, there is hope for you! You can get help and it is never too late to recover!

Let me tell you a story from the Bible found in Luke 23:39-43. When Jesus was being crucified on the cross, two thieves were with Him. Both of these thieves were at the end of their lives. Their lifestyles had led them to this place. The world looking on probably thought their futures were hopeless. After all, they were about to die.

One man insulted Jesus, but the other man stood up for Jesus. Jesus in turn said that the thief who had believed in Jesus would be with Him in paradise.

What does this story have to do with addiction battles? It shows us that until death, there is a chance for someone to change their lives and be radically changed by Jesus. The length of time spent in addiction doesn’t matter under the grace of God. Let me give you a real-world example:
