Biblical Hope – Hebrews 10:23

The world defines hope as a wish—a crossed-fingers kind of dream with no guarantee. But biblical hope isn’t like that. It’s not fragile or uncertain. Biblical hope is confident. It’s rooted in the promises of a God who cannot lie. When He says something, you can expect it to happen. Period.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23

That truth became real to me as I listened to Leanne’s story from From These Broken Pieces. For years, she lived in darkness, trapped in addiction, abuse, and trafficking. From the outside, her life looked hopeless. But when she finally encountered God’s love through a recovery ministry, something shifted. She said, “I didn’t know how to be free, but God knew. He didn’t just rescue me—He rebuilt me.”

That’s what hope looks like. It’s not pretending the brokenness isn’t real. It’s trusting that God is greater than the pain. It’s believing that His Word still stands, even when your world feels like it’s falling apart.

Hebrews 10:23 tells us to hold on unswervingly. Not halfway. Not when it’s convenient. But with everything we’ve got—because He who promised is faithful.

You might be facing something today that feels bigger than you—grief, relapse, betrayal, a past you can’t outrun. But can I remind you? Hope is not a feeling. It’s a Person. And His name is Jesus.

He doesn’t just patch up broken pieces—He makes all things new.

If you’re in a place where hope feels out of reach, I encourage you to read more stories like Leanne’s in From These Broken Pieces and speak life over yourself with these Bible affirmations for recovery.

You don’t have to see the whole picture to hold on. Just trust the One who holds it all.
