Faith

The greatest definition of the word “faith” is to have confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1).  Faith is to put our trust in God and to believe His promises before we see proof that His work is being done.  There would be no reason for faith if we could physically see the evidence.

Hebrews 11 is an excellent list of people who relied on God’s promises before knowing the outcome.  Noah built the ark before the first drops of rain ever fell, Abraham left his land and his people before he even knew where he’d end up, and Moses’ parents protected their child before they had any idea that he would save an entire nation.  God calls all believers to have faith in His promises, even when we are going through difficult times and cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Which of God’s promises are you putting your faith in right now?
