El Olam – The Everlasting God

El Olam – The Everlasting God
Life is full of change. Seasons shift, people come and go, and circumstances can feel uncertain. But in the midst of it all, there is One who never changes—El Olam, the Everlasting God.
El Olam reminds us that God is eternal, unshaken, and sovereign over all time. He existed before creation, He rules over the present, and He will reign forever. While everything around us may feel temporary, our God is unchanging, faithful, and everlasting.
El Olam in the Bible
The name El Olam first appears in Genesis 21:33, where Abraham plants a tree in Beersheba and calls on “the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God.” Abraham had walked through seasons of waiting, promises fulfilled, and unexpected trials, yet he recognized God’s eternal nature in it all.
In Isaiah 40:28, we are reminded, “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable.” No matter what we face, El Olam’s strength never fades, and His wisdom never fails.
The ultimate expression of El Olam is found in Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:8 declares, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” His love, grace, and promises will never expire. We can trust in Him completely.
What This Means for Us Today
Because El Olam is eternal, His promises never fail. The same God who was faithful to Abraham, Moses, and David is faithful to you today. Your situation may change, but He never will.
If you’re feeling uncertain about the future, take heart—El Olam has already gone before you. He is your anchor in an ever-changing world.
A Prayer to El Olam
El Olam, You are the Everlasting God. In a world full of change, You remain constant. Help me to trust in Your eternal promises and rest in Your unshakable love. Thank You for being my foundation, now and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Rest in the Everlasting God
El Olam is your unchanging, eternal foundation. Trust in Him, and find peace in His everlasting faithfulness.
