Mt Sinai
During the Exodus, 600,000 men left Egypt and crossed the Red Sea on dry land. There were women and children with them, so it is estimated a total of almost 2,500,000 people! The place they walked was Mt. Sinai. It is here that God gave Moses the 10 commandments. Did you know that most scholars agree Mt. Sinai is the same mountain as Mt. Horeb, which is where God first spoke to Moses in a burning bush? Super cool, isn’t it?!
