From Meth to Ministry: A Testimony of God’s Unrelenting Love

There are stories that change you. Randi Daniel’s journey from meth to ministry is one of those stories. It’s not just a testimony of survival—it’s a powerful picture of how God rescues, restores, and repurposes our lives no matter how far we’ve fallen.

We connected over Zoom for the first time, but it felt like I was catching up with someone I’d known for years. That’s the kind of presence Randi carries—authentic, full of grace, and deeply rooted in hope. As she began to share her past, I knew this episode would be special.

Randi grew up in church—three times a week. She knew the scriptures, said the prayers, and followed the motions. But deep down, she never really knew Jesus personally. So when life got hard and pain set in, she filled the emptiness with whatever she could—alcohol, drugs, relationships. Meth quickly took hold.

For six years, she lived in addiction. Her life spiraled into chaos. At 24, she was arrested by the feds—her first arrest—and sentenced to six and a half years in federal prison.

Four days into her sentence, everything changed.

She was detoxing, exhausted, and broken when another inmate invited her to a jailhouse church service. That night, the pastor spoke directly to her heart. “There is a plan and a purpose for your life. Part of that plan is for you to be right here.”

Right there, in that jail, she surrendered. She raised her hand and said, “Yes, Lord. I want Your plan. Mine isn’t working.”

That moment began a journey of transformation.

Randi didn’t change overnight. God walked her through the long, beautiful process of sanctification. He stripped away the old habits, the old language, and the old lies she believed about herself. She started to study the Word, practice prayer, and choose truth over shame.

Prison became her mission field. And she embraced it fully.

After her release, Randi began rebuilding her life. She restored relationships with her family, met her husband, and eventually became a mother—something she had long prayed for. Today, she has two children: one adopted and one biological. Her family is living proof of God’s faithfulness.

Now, Randi leads others to the same freedom she found. She returns to jails, speaks in recovery homes, and helps women transition from incarceration to hope. She even wrote a book called Wrecked by Grace, sharing her story to encourage others who feel too far gone.

Her life is a living testimony that no one is too broken for God. No addiction, no shame, no past can separate us from His love.

If you’re feeling lost, stuck, or ashamed—Randi wants you to know: There is hope. There is purpose. There is love waiting for you.

And just like He did for her, Jesus will meet you right where you are.
